10 Days that Unexpectedly Changed America will coincide directly with our weekly readings and discussions and give students a more in-depth insight into some GROUNDBREAKING moments in American history.
This assignment is also designed to give students some real life experience in using library resources at the university level. This means that students will have to make time to come before or after school to read and outline/take notes on the listed chapters by the dates specified below.
I have 9 student copies of 10 Days that Unexpectedly Changed America. Students in my classroom. These books WILL NOT LEAVE my classroom. Students may come in before school (7:15 am) or after in order to use the class library.
In college, students will often be required to use materials that cannot leave the school library. This is an exercise to simulate this future likelihood. It is also designed to help students practice time management!
Students may complete one chapter at a time, or all at once. This is up to them. Again, I want students to practice time management and self-efficacy.
